Rose City Yarn Crawl 2014: Re-cap

So this weekend’s Rose City Yarn Crawl flew by. While I had planned on crawling all 4 days, life had other plans for me (we’re moving) So while I only got to spend 2 days at this years crawl, boy were they awesome.

This year’s yarn crawl started out at Twisted.  On Thursday Imperial Stock Ranch was having a trunk show.  They brought this sweet little lamb with them. She was so gentle and cute! Seriously it makes me want to move to a farm and have sheep!  The main reason I needed to get myself to Thursday was jamPDX was having a trunk show. It was so hard to pick just one of her lovely pieces! I wanted both a pint glass and coffee mug. But in the end I couldn’t stop thinking about the awesome coloring of the yarn ball on this mug.

So while I was thinking about what piece of ceramics I wanted to take home, I was also debating what lovely color of Sock That Rock Lightweight I wanted for my Margaret Sullavan Shawlette.  I decided on this lovely colorway called Petticoat Junction.

So Friday morning after a long morning walk and a yummy breakfast at Cup and Saucer. I went to close knits to check out the Bumblebirch Trunk Show.  She had so many beautiful bases and colors I want to knit with them all! But after trying to justify another skein of purple yarn  I went with this skein of Wellspring in a beautiful green color called Succulent

I then saw a that I had an email from Twisted. It seems I had won a door prize for checking in on Thursday! Hip Hip Hooray! Seriously I never win anything, but it gets even better! I won a jamPDX Pint Glass! Seriously the universe must be pleased with me.

How cute is that! I love it! So when I went to pick up my prize, I spyed a skein of Tosh Merino Light in Posy. I have been on the hunt for this colorway! So of course a skein of that had to go home with me.

While yarn crawl was cut short for me this weekend it was still a fun time1 How was your weekend? did you do anything exciting. Make anything? Finish a UFO? let me know!

  1. That lamb is so cute! I love driving down I-5 in the spring because of all the lambs in the field. I totally want to move to the country and raise animals, too!
