So the night before Thanksgiving when most people are baking and getting ready for a day in the kitchen. I sewed this sweet little dress. I am ever so fond of The Staple Dress with it’s easy french seams and adjustable elastic waist.
This dress pattern has worked it’s way into my heart. This makes the 4th one I’ve sewn. For this one I placed the elastic a bit lower then in my other versions. It makes the top just a bit more blousy. The fabric I used on this version is Andover Chambray in Espresso. It is this amazing color that looks gray and black and brown all at the same time. The photos cannot do this color justice.
Dress: Handmade (Pattern: The Staple Dress by April Rhodes)

Wait, where you going! More on the cowl!!!
The pattern comes out tomorrow! There will be a whole post dedicated to it in the AM!
I love the fabric you chose. Also, love the cowl!
