Me Made May Day 19: Second chances

This dress is finally perfect. I put a few more rows of elastic in the back and gave it a good washing. the fabric is even softer now. It lays great, and I’ll admit I won’t have a picture for today because I am wearing it right now! I am also totally in love with this bag. It is so roomy and i love the fact that it zips up. I love totes but portland’s rainy weather doesn’t always play nice with them. 

This evening I am finish up another Staple Dress and have another one cut. This dress is another great summer dress, doesn’t eat up loads of fabric, lets the fabric be the star of the dress and is super comfortable. I have obsessed over the perfect dress for this Marie Horner Fabric and I am so glad that I these two found each other. 

If you follow me on Instagram you saw this exciting news earlier in the week. My sweet and darling boyfriend drove to another state (ok it was washington and like 10 minutes away) to pick up a FITBIT FLEX! In the past few days it been fun to track how much I move and how much I’ve eaten. My only complaint is that as a vegan the database for the food is useless. I have to add everything I eat or use my fitness pal to find out info on recipes that I make. But other than that it’s been great. I mean this is a fitness tracker why all the love for fast/processed foods. The sleep function is really why I wanted one. I have been thinking that I was a restless sleeper and it’s true I just had no idea i was waking up so much during the middle of the night. I don’t really know how to correct it but if you have any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated.

  1. Love, love, love that dress. And, the styling with the belt is awesome! I’ve been wanting a FitBit, but it will be some time off still. It would be difficult for me to use it too (although, not vegan) I make nearly everything I eat at home. I have that problem with a lot of food trackers– they have the counts for all kinds of processed foods or restaurant foods, but not what I’d make at home.
