This past Saturday was the PNW Blogger Meet Up in Seattle. Collin and I had planned on taking the train up on friday and spending more time in city. But Plans Changed as Plans often do. So we rented a Zip Car and headed up north and back on saturday.

Before the meet up Collin and I went to our favorite restaurant in Seattle. Actually this is my favorite place to eat on the entire west coast. The Wayward Vegan Cafe make some of the best vegan diner food ever.

See What I mean? Collin had the Tofuevos Rancheros and I had the Suns Over Seattle. Yum Yum. They have THE BEST vegan ham. I don’t know where it comes from but it tastes like Ham, but without all the killing sweet piggies to get it!

Then it was off to the meet up. This time it was held at Von Trapps, this interesting bocce ball, german beer house combo in seattle. While i didn’t get a chance to play shuffleboard OR bocci, it is totally on my list for a future trip to Seattle!

There were awesome goody bags! I totally scored these beautiful earrings I have been wanting from Moorea Seal!  A few amazing Rolling Pin Shanty were consumed. I totally met Lilly From Rake and Make who was a fellow Blogcademy scholarship contestant. She also has some pretty enviable gardening skills! There was tons of what looked like good german food (none vegan Womp Wah)

As always I get so involved in talking I forget to get photos with everyone. I met so many awesome ladies who do so many awesome things. Like Lucy who hand blends her own tea or Cassie who also is also addicted to her sewing machine, just to name a few.  I also got to catch up with Lindsy and Ruthy. Then I also got to hangout with some of the amazing girls of the Portland Blogger community,  Linnea was taking the event photos, I can’t wait to see!  Jenni was help making the event run smoothly and My lady date Erika was making sure we made the rounds to meet as many different people as possible.

Everytime I go to a blogger event I come home super excited and inspired. It’s fun to hangout with people who get why you love taking photos of everything and sharing your life on the internet.

Oh yeah!  Happy National Podcaster day. As a budding podcaster I hope you’ll take time to check out My podcast or someone else’s today!

  1. It was so great to meet you! The event was fun but (even though I am not vegan) I'm not a huge fan o sausage, so I pretty much ate pretzel bites. And anthem cider.

  2. You mean I wasn't the only vegan there?! I didn't get to meet you, but I've found you now! I've never tried the Wayward Vegan Cafe, but it's on my to do list now. Maybe next weekend I will. ๐Ÿ™‚ By the way I'm Molly, you can find me blogging at MaeLiveFree

  3. That was my first blogger meet-up and it was so great to meet you. I didn't know who would be there or what to expect, so it was such a cool surprise that you were there. I do love your blog and am hooked on "Pick up and Purl". Great name by the way! I watched your newest episode the other night and while I don't even know that much knitting yet, I loved just listening to you talk about the yarns. You really know your stuff and I am totally going to check out Quince and Co. now. I am also impressed by the sheer number of projects you have going! Oh and I like your system of keeping your projects organized in separate zip pouches!
